New Orleans Pelicans' guard Eric Gordon is expected to miss games due to an ankle injury again. He received arthoscopic injury on his ankle in May. Despite feeling healthy now, the team will stay cautious with Gordon given his history with injuries. In the last three season, Gordon has played in just 107 games. He participated in the team's practice but will not partake in an exhibition game for about two weeks, as reported by the Pelicans.
“He’s ramping up, getting his conditioning back, since he just got his release from the doctors,” Williams said. “He’s moving toward the type of conditioning he needs to be in. I don’t want him to go out there full bore and pull a hamstring or something, because he hasn’t been going (physically) as long as the other guys have.”Given Gordon's history, this could either really be nothing or it could turn into a long stretch on the sidelines for the Pelicans' guard. Last season, Gordon averaged 17 points to go with 3 assists on 40% shooting. He played in only 42 games last season.
