The Brooklyn Nets made big moves this summer but still received a scare when they found out Brook Lopez needed surgery on his foot because of a bent screw in his right foot. Training camp is scheduled to start in about a week's time and it looks as if Lopez will be able to partake in the basketball activities, as reported by Ian Begley of ESPN New York.
"It's great, it's back to 100 percent," Lopez told ESPNNewYork.com Saturday from an NBA Cares event. "I'm out there doing everything."Last season, Lopez averaged 19.6 points per game, the tenth highest scorer in the league, to go with career-high 2.1 blocks per game. However, he had yet another year of sub-par rebounding numbers, grabbing just 6.9 rebounds per game. Despite this weakness, he was selected onto his first All-Star team and had the fifth highest PER rating.
