Josh Smith Inks Four-Year Deal With Detroit Pistons

Josh Smith verbally agreed with the Detroit Pistons before and today officially signed a contract guaranteeing him $54 million over the next 4 years.
"We're pleased to welcome Josh Smith to the Pistons," general manager Joe Dumars said Wednesday. "He was the No. 1 guy we were after in free agency."
The Pistons' have displayed their intentions of keeping a young team, and president of basketball operations for the Detroit Pistons Joe Dumars believes that the team can incorporate Smith into their system well. Smith will play alongside the likes of Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe.

In the introductory press conference, Smith stated that he believes that he still has not reached his potential. Smith is currently 27, and last season averaged 17.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists to go with 1.8 blocks and 1.2 steals be game. A solid stat line for the new Piston.
