Andrew Bynum believes in himself, Cavaliers

Soon after signing his contract, new Cleveland Cavaliers big man Andrew Bynum told reporters that he expects the team to make the playoffs this season. He added that he has just as much faith in himself and his health situation as he does in his team, saying that he feels he can log a full season for the Cavs, according to USA Today.
"Getting my career on track is my only goal for the season," Bynum said Friday at his introductory news conference. "The Cavs have given me every opportunity to succeed, and we've put together a plan. I really believe in the doctors here and the training staff. I want to play a full season, and there is no doubt in my mind I can do that. I'm going to be ready for training camp, that's the plan."
Bynum officially inked his new two-year, $24 million deal with the Cavaliers yesterday. He’s looking to move on from last season, which was spent with the Philadelphia 76ers. It was a campaign to forget for the center, as he missed the entire season due to lingering knee ailments.

While there’s little doubt of his talent, questions continue to swirl around Bynum’s health. These questions resulted in him getting relatively small guaranteed contract from the Cavs, as his knees make him a gamble.
Still, the Cavs say they are confident in Bynum, as they are well aware of his injuries and history. The big man has yet to be cleared medically to resume running after undergoing bilateral arthroscopic surgery on both knees in March.

Bynum and the Cavs will certainly be one of the top storylines of the 2013-14 seasons. It’s to be determined if it will have a happier ending than last year.
