Pacers’ Danny Granger expects to be ready for next season

The Indiana Pacers managed to take the favored Miami Heat to Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals, and they did so without veteran Danny Granger. The small forward missed all but five games this season due to injury, but he told Mike Wells of The Indianapolis Star that he expects to be ready for the start of the new campaign.
I’m confident. My rehab is probably another month and a half to two months, so I’ll be ready for the season. It’s just a matter of time.
After Game 7, Granger told Wells that he was extremely proud of his teammates for the way they battled, specifically naming Paul George, Lance Stephenson, George Hill and Roy Hibbert. While he wasn’t able to contribute much this season, Granger said he is excited to see the growth of the Pacers.

For his part, Granger believes he and George will make a “scary” combination next season. There are some questioning whether or not one or the other will be moved over the offseason, considering the Pacers showed what they could do without Granger during their recent run.

Still, Granger told Wells that he expects to be back with the team and in the starting lineup next year.
