Spurs’ Tony Parker to undergo MRI on calf

San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker will undergo an MRI on his ailing left calf today in an attempt to determine the extent of his injury and make sure he is recovering as expected, according to USA Today.

Despite the testing, Parker isn’t expected to miss time during the Western Conference Finals due to the injury. He told reporters that the MRI is merely to make sure that he’s recovering from the injury that hampered him through the final two games of the team’s prior series against the Golden State Warriors.

Parker has since shown signs of improvement, as he was exceptional during the Spurs’ Game 2 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. During that contest, Parker scored 15 points and finished with a career-high 18 assists.
