Rockets' James Harden diagnosed with strep throat

Houston Rockets guard James Harden has been diagnosed with strep throat, but he's still expected to suit up for today's Game 6 matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to David Barron of The Houston Chronicle.

The Rockets announced the news yesterday afternoon:

Harden played through illness to lead the Rockets to a game 5 victory over the Thunder. While he was clearly sick, Harden scored a team-high 31 points to help Houston stave off elimination.

Experiencing sore throat symptoms prior to Game 5, Harden was examined and diagnosed by team doctors yesterday afternoon. He's been treated and is expected to be available for Game 6.
