No structural damage for Knicks’ Iman Shumpert

Iman Shumpert injured his knee during Game 3 of the New York Knicks series against the Indiana Pacers. He was evaluated yesterday prior to Game 4, and an orthopedic surgeon confirmed that Shumpert wasn’t dealing with structural damage in his knee, the team has announced.

Following the news of the clear diagnosis, Shumpert became available for last night’s Game 4. Unfortunately for the Knicks, he went scoreless over 16 minutes, going 0-for-6 from the field – including 0-for-5 from three-point range.

His cold shooting streak continued, but the Knicks also count on him for his defense. He was able to help hold Paul George relatively silent, but it seems like his knee is still hampering him considering his limited minutes despite starting the game.

At this point, the Knicks have more to worry about than Shumpert’s knee. Like how they’re going to dig out of the current 3-1 hole they find themselves in.
