Steve Novak sat out the second half of the New York Knicks' Game 5 loss to the Boston Celtics due to back spasms, and coach Mike Woodson told reporters -- including Ian Begley of ESPN New York -- that he's doubtful to suit up for Game 6 tonight.

This isn't thought to be extremely significant for the Knicks, as Novak hasn't been a key contributor for the team this series. Still, he has been playing, so New York will have to absorb his absence in some way.
If Novak is held out of tonight's game due to his back ailment, Woodson said that Chris Copeland "could become a player in the series." New York could also increase the playing time of Quentin Richardson, but it sounds like Copeland will see an expanded role in place of the ailing Novak.
