Knicks' Iman Shumpert dealing with knee soreness

New York Knicks small forward Iman Shumpert missed practice yesterday due to soreness in his left knee, according to Ian Begley of ESPN New York.

While it’s unclear what level of soreness Shumpert is experiencing in his ailing left knee, he and coach Mike Woodson told reporters yesterday that they expect him to suit up for tonight’s Game 4 against the Indiana Pacers.
Shumpert sustained the injury while falling during Game 3. Begley notes that he appeared to bang his knee in a collision in the second half of Saturday’s loss.

Last season, Shumpert underwent surgery on his left knee to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, but he said his soreness was due to a new injury and not something recurrent from his prior procedure. While he averaged just over 11 points per game during the season, that mark has increased to 16.5 during the playoffs.
