Heat G Mario Chalmers’ shoulder causing problems

Even after injuring his left shoulder in Game 2, Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers was able to log 28 effective minutes during Game 3 Sunday night. However, his shoulder is still causing him problems, according to Shandel Richardson of The South Florida Sun Sentinel, who adds that Chalmers is expected to receive daily treatment for at least the remainder of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Chalmers suffered his injury in Game 2 while taking a screen from Indiana Pacers forward David West. He was able to play through the injury, but it appeared to impact his performance. He finished with only six points on 2-for-6 shooting – including 0-for-2 from three-point range – with five assists and two turnovers.

Despite the injury, Chalmers was able to suit up for Game 3, and he turned in a superior performance during the contest. The guard went 4-for-6 from the field, making six of the seven free throws he attempted. In total, Chalmers finished the game with 14 points, four assists, one steal and no turnovers.
