Chalmers suffered his injury in Game 2 while taking a screen from Indiana Pacers forward David West. He was able to play through the injury, but it appeared to impact his performance. He finished with only six points on 2-for-6 shooting – including 0-for-2 from three-point range – with five assists and two turnovers.
Despite the injury, Chalmers was able to suit up for Game 3, and he turned in a superior performance during the contest. The guard went 4-for-6 from the field, making six of the seven free throws he attempted. In total, Chalmers finished the game with 14 points, four assists, one steal and no turnovers.
