Heat G Dwyane Wade practices for second day in a row

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade returned to practice Friday, but the team remained mum on his prospects of suiting up for Game 1 of the second-round of the NBA Playoffs. Wade practiced again Saturday, and while he said it was a “good day” he wouldn’t commit to whether or not he’ll play Monday night, according to Tom D’Angelo of The Palm Beach Post.

Wade appeared to be tired of answering questions about his ailing knee, as he asked reporters to please stop questioning him on the state of the injury.

“I told the coaches, ‘Don’t ask me how I’m doing,’ ” Wade said Saturday. “The mind is a powerful thing. Everything is mind over matter. So when you’re dealing with something, you’re dealing with it. But when people continue to … ask you if you’re doing all right, how are you feeling, you start to feel like, well, something is wrong with me.”

Of course Wade knows he’ll continue to get questions on his knee throughout the playoffs, considering his importance to the club and the fact that the ailment was enough for the Heat to rest the All-Star for Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks. When asked about Monday’s opener, Wade simply said he’s taking things day by day.

“I’m just going day by day and seeing what’s best for my body. Today was another good day.”
