If there was any doubt that Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade
would suit up for Game 1 of the team’s second-round NBA Playoff series against
the Chicago Bulls, it was quelled yesterday when the All-Star participated in a
full-contact practice session. It was his third consecutive day of practice,
and Wade is expected to play tonight against Chicago, according to Vaugh McClure of The Chicago Tribune.
When pressed on whether there had been doubt about his status for Game 1, Wade responded, “I felt like I was always building (toward playing). Obviously, a couple of extra days don’t hurt. Brooklyn took (the Bulls series) back home, so (this) series started a little later.’’
