Trevor Ariza, Martell Webster, and Nene Out for Rest of the Season

The Washington Wizards are playing conservative for their remaining two regular season games. At 29-51, the Wizards are shutting down Trevor Ariza, Martell Webster and Nene Hilario. While Ariza and Webster were declared out by the team, Nene declared himself out, as reported by CSN Washington.
"I'm going to sit down," said Nene, who had his minutes cut to 24 per game in April. "Let the young guys play. ... That's not necessary, to play the last two games. For what?"
"I spoke to my wife, my brother, my personal manager. It was so hard to play the way I did. I thought it was the end of my career because it was so painful," Nene said. "I'm glad I (played most of) the season, but the way I suffer I hope never again."
When Coach Randy Wittman was asked about his thoughts on Nene sitting out, he appeared to be unaware of the situation.
"That's news to me," Wittman said.
For the season, Nene posted game averages of 12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists.

Webster's and Ariza's benching was tweeted out by J. Michael of CSN Washington.
