After missing much of the season with a knee problem that forced him to retire earlier, Minnesota Timberwolves' Brandon Roy still feels like he can come back and play before the season ends. The Pioneer Press reports that Roy has been practicing hard for a couple of weeks and will ask to return to action this week.
Injured Timberwolves shooting guard Brandon Roy said he has been practicing hard for two weeks, that his tender right knee is improving and that he'll ask coach Rick Adelman this week if he can return to the court.Roy's contract is not guaranteed for this season due to his lack of playing time, as he failed to play in either 65 games or 1,400 minutes throughout the season. Roy's career would be a phenonemonal one had it not been for recurring injuries which have plagued him for his career. Most NBA fans would root for a Brandon Roy return, but history makes it hard to believe it will happen. Roy may not get another contract next season, and with the way the Timberwolves' season is going, Adelman may as well give Roy minutes if he does ask to return.
