The Nuggets are still marching along nicely into the playoffs. They got the win last night over the Dallas Mavericks, but they may have lost Danilo Gallinari. As Gallinari was driving to the basket, his knee buckled awkwardly, and Gallinari couldn't even take another step with that leg.
Gallinari's reaction makes the knee injury look serious. The team will have him undergo an MRI to confirm the extent, but it's likely he will be done for the season. If anything tore, there's very little chance that Gallinari will be playing again this season. And that's a shame.
Gallinari has averaged 16.2 points, 2.5 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game this season. In his six-year career, the forward has averaged 14.5 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game. He's been a big part of the Nuggets offense in the paint this season.
