Nets' Joe Johnson Sits Out Practice With Plantar Fasciitis

Brooklyn Nets' shooting guard Joe Johnson missed practice Wednesday with plantar fasciitis. With Game 3 on Thursday, Joe Johnson is currently listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision. Joe Johnson is hoping to fight through it, as reported by Mark Herrman of Newsday.
“It may have been a little bit of plantar fasciitis in February when it first started,” Johnson said. “Now it’s deep into the plantar fasciitis. It’s just something I’ll have to fight through.”
Joe Johnson had missed five games during the regular season due to this as well. He says he tweaked it during the first quarter of Game 2. This injury is the same that is limiting Joakim Noah of the Bulls, who the Nets are facing in this first round series. However, it will not have the same effects on their game due to their different position. Johnson does more cutting, penetrating and setting screens whereas Noah posts up and uses his feet for other aspects of the game.

With the series tied at 1-1, the absence of Joe Johnson would make things a lot harder for the Brooklyn Nets, especially since Game 3 will be at Chicago.
