The Los Angeles Lakers have called on Kobe Bryant to help
carry the team in their attempt to claim a playoff spot in the Western
Conference. However, with the return of Metta World Peace, coach Mike D’Antoni
told reporters – including Mike Bresnahan of The Los Angeles Times – that he
will attempt to lessen Bryant’s minutes in preparation for the postseason.
Metta World Peace will play tonight, 12 days after surgery for torn knee cartilage. He'll lessen Kobe's load minutes-wise, D'Antoni said.
