New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon was recently benched
by the team following a heated exchange with coach Monty Williams. This has
resulted in continued speculation that Gordon will eventually be traded by the
Hornets. New Orleans was unable to unload Gordon this season, but they are “still
likely to remain open to trading him after the season,” according to John Reid
The Hornets were unable to pull off a trade involving Gordon before the February trade deadline, but the franchise is still likely to remain open to trading him after this season ends, according to sources Saturday.
While Hornets appear to want to trade Gordon, actually doing so could prove difficult, according to Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk. Helin believes that New Orleans will have a hard time trading the guard since he's still owed another $45 million over the next three years.
