The agent of Chris "Birdman" Anderson told Chris Tomasson of FOX Sports Florida that the big man is "hopeful" to re-sign with the Miami Heat.
“We’re certainly hopeful,’’ Bryant told FOX Sports Florida about Andersen re-signing with the Heat. “But he’s going to finish this task first (of trying to win a title with Miami). But, absolutely, he has embraced (being with the Heat).’’
Anderson is currently playing with the Heat on a minimum contract. He could see a significant raise over the summer, as the Heat are expected to be able to use a mid-level exception on him that would pay just over $3 million.
Of course, Anderson could receive a higher offer elsewhere. Still, considering his apparent desire to stick with the Heat, Anderson may forego higher offers and re-sign with Miami. After all, the Heat have three guys named LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh as recruiting tools.
