Dwyane Wade won’t play Monday vs. Cavaliers

The Miami Heat’s big three – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh – all played in yesterday’s win over the Chicago Bulls, but at least one of the trio will be sidelined for tonight’s contests against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While James and Bosh will be making the trip to Cleveland, Wade will not, according to Ethan Skolnick of The Palm Beach Post.

Skolnick adds that Udonis Haslem and Shane Battier will also not make the trip with the Heat. While James and Bosh are traveling, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they will play.

All three of the Heat’s big stars have been nursing minor injuries over the past month, as coach Erik Spoelstra attempts to get them rested and healthy for the playoffs. The Heat have clinched the best record in the NBA and the home court advantage that results.

Wade, James and Bosh were all in double-figures yesterday, as Wade scored 22, James 24 and Bosh 12. Tonight’s contest against the Cavaliers is Miami’s regular season finale, as they’ll prepare to play the Milwaukee Bucks in the first-round of the playoffs starting this weekend.
