Bulls' Derrick Rose Officially Ruled Out of Game 1

The return of Derrick Rose was hyped with advertisements and just because he was Derrick Rose. Now, after missing the entire regular season, it looks like he may not play in the postseason either. Chicago Bulls' coach Tom Thibodeau ruled out Derrick Rose for the series opener against the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the playoffs.

The last time Rose played was during last season's postseason opener, where he tore his ACL and the Bulls ended up losing to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Despite missing the first game of the season, the Bulls are not ready to completely rule him out for the postseason, according to Nick Friedell of ESPN.
"He's most likely out but you never know," Thibodeau said. "The playoffs are stretched out, too, so you have to factor that in. So who knows another week from now where he is? You always want to leave that possibility open."
"Whenever he can come back, he comes back."
As of today, he isn't coming back for the postseason opener. The Chicago Bulls tip off against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday April 20th at 8 PM EST. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN.
