Entering the Chicago Bulls opening playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets, center Joakim Noah wasn't sure if he'd be able to suit up at all due to a plantar fasciitis injury. Not only did Noah play in Game 4 on Saturday, but he was a key player in the team's three-overtime victory over the Nets.
Over roughly 40 minutes -- 10 more than coach Tom Thibodeau expected to get from the big man -- Noah scored 15 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and finished with four blocks. Following the game, he described it as a miracle to reporters -- including K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune.
"It's a miracle," said Noah, who is playing through plantar fasciitis in his right foot. "Before the series started, I thought I wasn't going to be able to play."
