The Washington Wizards will monitor Bradley Beal's injury. The young shooting guard is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury, but the club hopes it is not too serious. Considering the poor state of affairs for the Wizards' team, they can not afford a severe, long-term injury to any of their players. Especially Beal.
According to an Associated Press report, Beal hurt his ankle on Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers. X-rays on the ankle were negative, but Beal was walking with crutches on Sunday. The Wizards play again tomorrow, but there has been no indication as to whether Beal can go or not yet.
Beal is in his rookie season. He was drafted out of Florida. So far this season, Beal is averaging 14.2 points and 2.5 assists per game. He is also pulling down 3.7 rebounds per game. Beal looks impressive and combined with John Wall, he could be the future of the Wizards' rebuilding.
