Lakers injury news: Kobe Bryant probable, Steve Nash questionable

The Los Angeles Lakers have termed Kobe Bryant as probable to play despite a foot and ankle injury, while Steve Nash may not be able to play due to a hip injury.

Bryant is dealing with a bone spur in his foot and a sprained ankle. He received treatment for both injuries yesterday, and he is probable to play in today’s pivotal matchup against the Sacramento Kings. Every game from here on out figures to be pivotal for LA, as they attempt to claim a spot in the playoffs.

Nash also received treatment for his hip injury, but the Lakers appear to be less optimistic about his prospects for suiting up today.

Heading into Friday, the Lakers held a half-game lead on the Utah Jazz for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. They have eight contests remaining, and they’ll likely have to win at least six of them to make the postseason, according to Kurt Helin of Pro Basketball Talk.
