Joe Johnson's quadriceps just aren't allowing him to play yet. The veteran guard has missed the last two games, but Brooklyn has won them both. Unfortunately, they may be faced with even more time without Johnson.
According to Tim Bontemps of the New York Post, Johnson may not play through the rest of the Nets' road trip.
No Joe Johnson tonight. He isn't sure about the rest of the trip.

Johnson may simply be given time to rest the quad in order to make sure he's healthy for the playoffs. Brooklyn has already clinched a playoff berth, and they don't want their stars injured or injured further. In Johnson's case, as long as the team can keep finding ways to win without him, there's no reason to rush him back.
So far this season, Johnson has averaged 16.4 points and 3.6 assists per game. In his career, Johnson has averaged 17.7 points and 4.4 assists per game.
