Derrick Rose's return is no more clear than it was a week ago. He is still trying to get his head right which can take a long time depending on the person. Rose understands that he is medically cleared to play, but he has to be mentally prepared. That's why his return can come next week or next season.
According to Aggrey Sam of CSN Chicago, Rose had his most active practice since his injury on Thursday. This sparked rumors that he might return yesterday. But he didn't. And his return date is still an unknown.
Rose has not played since the first round of the playoff last year when he blew his knee out. He has battled through the surgery, the rehab, the soft practices, the full contact practices. Now, he must battle through the mental issues. Frankly, the Bulls need him.
Rose has averaged 21.0 points and 6.8 assists per game in his career. Last season, Rose had an incredible season. He averaged 21.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last year.
