Clippers’ Chauncey Billups could miss remainder of season

Los Angeles Clippers guard Chauncey Billups’ status for the remainder of the season is in question after the veteran aggravated his right groin strain, according to Broderick Turner of The Los Angeles Times.

Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro told reporters that Billups will miss “a little bit” of time, but he’s not sure how long. Del Negro added that he doesn’t expect Billups to be “around for a while.”

"I'm not sure if Chauncey will be out a game, two games, two weeks. I don't know yet. It depends on how he reacts working out."

Billups has struggled through several injuries this season, as multiple ailments have limited him to 20 games. The Clippers have about three weeks remaining in their regular season, as they continue to play for a high playoff seed in the Western Conference.

With Billups sidelined, the Clippers are expected to use Willie Green in his place.
