Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving was not expected to play
Friday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Beyond experiencing knee pain, the
second-year player was dealing with flu-like symptoms. However, Irving came out
and declared he would suit up despite his ailments, as reported by Jason Lloyd
of the Akron Beacon Journal.
Kyrie Irving says he'll play... kinda feel like the ring announced in karate kid: "daniel larusso is going to fight!"

Considering everything he was dealing with, most expected
Irving to see limited minutes Friday against the Grizz. However, the
20-year-old played 36 minutes in the team’s 92-103 loss to Memphis. He shot
11-21 from the field, finishing the game with 24 points, two rebounds and three
assists.
