The New York Knicks looked lost at times while Carmelo Anthony recovered from an injured knee. The knee is still not 100 percent, but he returned to the court last night and helped the Knicks to a victory over the Orlando Magic.
The Knicks beat the Magic 106-94 thanks in part to Anthony's 21 points. In his first game back, Anthony showed he was ready to go. Shortly after the game started, Anthony nailed a 3-pointer to prove he was ready and willing to score. From there, the Knicks helped out all around Anthony for a big win.
Anthony had missed the team's last three games and six out of the team's last eight overall due to the knee injury. He had the knee drained, but he had to wait for the swelling and soreness to subside before getting back on the court. Anthony and the Knicks hope he will be healthy the rest of the way through to the playoffs.
New York is currently third in the Eastern Conference at 40-26. They all but have a playoff spot locked up. Anthony has been a big part of that. He is averaging 27.4 points and 6.2 assists per game this season.
