If you're looking for silver linings, the only one you mint find in the Brendan Haywood injury is that the season is almost over. The Charlotte Bobcats will be without Haywood for the rest of the season thanks to a foot injury. Fortunately, the season is just about over for Charlotte.
According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, Haywood's suffered a stress fracture in his foot, and the recovery time will keep him from playing again this season. Haywood had been experiencing soreness in his ankle area, but an MRI yesterday confirmed the stress fracture.
Haywood didn't get much playing time, but he was a solid big man presence when in the game. He has averaged 23.4 minutes per game in his career. However, this season Haywood was averaging just 19.0 minutes per game. And his stats reflect that.
This season Haywood was averaging 3.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. In his career, he has averaged 6.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
