Tim Duncan Sprains Left Knee and Right Ankle

San Antonio Spurs' center Tim Duncan collapsed to the ground when Washington Wizards' Martell Webster landed on Duncan's leg. The All-Star was helped off the court by Stephan Jackson and DeJuan Blair after holding his knee for a few minutes. Duncan did not return to the game.

The severity of the injury is unknown for now, however the Associated Press said Duncan was diagnosed with a sprained left knee and right ankle. He will be re-evaluated on Sunday. Players have stated that Duncan will be fine and he did manage to get up by himself before getting helped off. Duncan was returning after missing a few games due to a sore knee.

For the season, Duncan is averaging 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds along with his irreplaceable intangibles. Losing Duncan for any long period of time will hurt the Spurs immensely, possibly prompting a trade before the deadline.
