The Indiana Pacers, who are surprisingly good with the current team they're running out on the floor, could get even better. Danny Granger is set to make his return to the court soon. He won't play tonight, but the team expects him back in the next few days.
According to team's Twitter page, Granger will not make his return today. However, there were reports previously that the 29-year old would make his return this week. The Pacers do not want to rush him back, but they also don't want to unnecessarily sit Granger when he could be on the court helping them.
Granger suffered an injury to his left knee that resulted in him missing three months. He was diagnosed with left patellar tendonitis. The treatment was not surgical and included injections directly into the knee. However, rest was the best course of action for Granger.
The Pacers drafted Granger 17th overall back in 2005. He has spent his entire career with the team. So far this season, Granger is averaging 18.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. In his career, he has averaged 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.
