The Indiana Pacers could get a huge boost this week as Danny Granger makes his return. Granger has been out all season after undergoing knee surgery. However, he is set to make his return to the court this week. And that should help the Pacers continue the successful run they've been on of late.
Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star says Granger went through his first full practice yesterday. He is expected to get back into games starting this week. The only decision the Pacers have left to make in Granger's situation is whether they really want him back before the All-Star break or if they want to give him the extra recovery time.
The Pacers struggled early on this season without Granger. However, they've been strong of late. They are 31-20 and in third place in the Eastern Conference. They lead the Chicago Bulls in their division by a half a game.
Last year, Granger averaged 18.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. The 29-year old small forward has averaged 18.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game in his career. His production will certainly be a boost for the Pacers.
