Eric Bledsoe is quickly becoming the hottest commodity on this year's trade market. And he may not even be on the market. There have been conflicting reports regarding the Los Angeles Clippers' willingness to deal the back-up point guard. However, it appears the Utah Jazz are now in the mix.
Ramona Shellburne of ESPN Los Angeles says, if the Clippers want to part ways with Beldsoe, they may be able to complete a deal with the Jazz that would include Paul Millsap. However, Shellburne points out the Clippers have long-said they want to hang on to Bledsoe for situations exactly like the one they faced this season.
With Chris Paul on the bench with an injury, the Clippers were able to confidently turn to Bledsoe for help. He is a good point guard, a starter on any other team, and he can keep the Clippers afloat anytime Paul is injured or need rest. But in the end, he's a back-up point guard.
Millsap would give the Clippers another strong inside presence to compliment Blake Griffin. He is a 28-year old power forward who can put up some points. This season, Millsap is averaging 15.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. In his career, he has averaged 12.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.
