Josh Smith has been the source of constant trade talks this season. Now, another team may be interested. The Milwaukee Bucks could be interested in Smith if the price is right. The team is looking for a productive wing player to compliment he current roster.
Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal-Times says the Bucks are in a position to offer as good a deal to the Atlanta Hawks for Smith as any other team. In fact, the club could offer a better deal. But the Bucks have not been as closely linked to Smith as other teams. There have been whispers of interested, but nothing concrete.
Smith has been a productive player ever since he came into the league. He has had his off-court issues and some attitude problems, but there's no denying his talent. Smith, 27, has spent his entire career with the Hawks. He was drafted in 2004 straight out of high school.
So far this season, Smith is averaging 17.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. In his career, he has averaged 15.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He is still young enough to continue improving. This makes him a valuable trade target.
