Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Pau Gasol has been sidelined with a torn plantar fascia a few weeks ago in a game against the Brooklyn Nets. Since then Gasol has been rehabbing to recover, and Gasol has confirmed that he no longer needs crutches for assistance.
For the season, Gasol is averaging a career-low 13.4 points on 45.3% shooting. His rebounding numbers have dropped from last season, now at eight per game. His return, despite his relatively poor numbers, could help give the Lakers the boost they need to sneak into the playoffs.

@ericpincus no sir! Back on my feet. #nomorecrutchesGasol has an estimated three to five weeks until his return. Three more weeks would keep him out for approximately 11 out of the 24 remaining games for the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are currently seeed ninth and are hoping to reach the playoffs backed by Kobe's confident comments in the team.
