The Utah Jazz could soon get a boost. Their point guard returned to practice yesterday. Williams had been sidelined after undergoing surgery on his thumb for the second time in his career. Now, he is inching closer to returning to the court.
According to the AP, Williams returned to practice yesterday and did some light drills. There is still no timetable for his return as he continues to rehab the thumb. Williams is hoping he still has a job when he's ready to come back. With the amount of interest in the Los Angeles Clippers' Eric Bledsoe, it's possible the Jazz could trade for a new point guard.
Williams is a veteran in NBA. He is 30 years old and has played 10 years in the league. So far this season, Williams is averaging 12.9 points and 6.7 assists per game. He has been surprisingly productive for the Jazz. In his career, he has averaged 13.8 points and 4.9 assists per game.
