Deron Williams Out Until All-Star Break

Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams has been playing through various injuries throughout the season. It seems as they have finally slowed him down enough that he will be required to rest. The Brooklyn Nets Twitter account tweeted about his injury status, which would keep him out until the end of the All-Star break.
Williams will miss the next two games due to synovitis, which is inflammation of ankle joint linings in both of his ankles. Williams received platelet rich plasma treatment on both ankles earlier today.

Deron Williams said that he will likely need surgery in the off-season, per a report by Stefan Bondy of the NY Daily News

For this season, Williams has played in 50 games for Brooklyn in which he is putting up averages of 16.7 points, 7.6 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. He's been playing through various injuries throughout the season but has only missed one game until now. Injuries have been a factor in Deron's poor season in the Nets first year in Brooklyn. If anything positive is to result from this, its that Williams receives a long-needed period of rest to recover from continuous basketball play despite injuries.
