The Los Angeles Clippers have gotten off to a hot start over
the first half of the season, and this is in large part due to the play of
point guard Chris Paul. The talented floor general showcased his abilities on
the national stage last night, and his efforts earned him the title of MVP of
the 2013 All-Star Game.
Paul helped lead the West to a 143-138 victory over the East
All-Stars. The Clippers’ point guard scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from
the field. He also contributed 15 assists and four steals.
While the award generally seems to go to the game’ high
scorer, this wasn’t the case last night. Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin
Durant led the way for the West, scoring a game-high 30 points. However, Paul
produced a more even performance and was deemed the night’s MVP.
