Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett has been at the center of several trade rumors this season, but the veteran has said that he’s not
willing to waive his no-trade clause to help facilitate a deal, reports Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today Sports.
Asked on Saturday morning at All-Star weekend if there was a circumstance or team for which he would drop his no-trade clause, Garnett said, "No."
Garnett continued on to ask why he would come back and
attempt to rally his team to push further if he wanted to be traded.
It’s been reported that the Celtics have discussed trading
Garnett to several teams, including the Los Angeles Clippers. That reported deal involved Garnett heading to Los Angeles in exchange for DeAndre Jordan and
Eric Bledsoe.
While rumors figure to continue to surface until the trade
deadline passes, Garnett has said that if it were up to him he’d “live and die
green all day.”
