Sixers' Andrew Bynum Feels Pain, Doesn't Declare It a Setback

Philadelphia 76ers' center Andrew Bynum has yet to play in a Sixers jersey in what is now looking like a terrible deal for the Sixers. As he continues his rehab, Bynum still does not have an expected date for return.

He's been participating in several aspects of practice and is doing things with his body that shows positive signs. He's been able to cut, move laterally, run, dunk and shoot for the most part. However, recently Bynum expressed concern about pain he had been feeling after working out according to John Finger of CSN Philly.
“I worked out for two days on the court and I had a lot of pain, so I backed off a little bit today,” Bynum explained. “I’ll be back on the court tomorrow and we’ll progress from there.”

“I’m not sure,” Bynum said when asked if he was going to play in a game by the end of February. “We’ll have to see if I had a setback or not. Right now, things are going well. I’m losing weight and staying on the court for as long as I can, so that’s good.”
Even with all the aspects of the game he has been able to do, he still has ways to go. Bynum still has not participated in any contact drills yet. It's not likely that Bynum makes his Sixers debut anytime soon, much less by the end of February. The team will likely be on the cautious side for his return since he's already missed so much time along with his history of injuries.
