Apparently Kawhi Leonard's gash on his knee was worse than we originally thought. He suffered the injury when he fell and cut himself on an exposed nail in the court. The injury kept him out of last night's game against the New Orleans Hornets. But he wasn't the only one to miss the game. Tim Duncan sat as well with a sore left knee.
According to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express News, both players are listed as day-to-day.
Tim Duncan (sore left knee) and Kawhi Leonard (left patella contusion) are out for Spurs tonight vs. NO. Both are day-to-day. But ...

The Spurs did get some good news last night. Manu Ginobili made his return to the court. McDonald had the update there as well.
Duncan and Leonard are out, Pop's home sick, Manu's back, Bud is coaching, Baynes is signed. AND THERE'S STILL A GAME TO PLAY TONIGHT?!?Ginobili had missed the San Antonio Spurs' last four games with a hamstring strain. In his absence, the team went 4-0, so Spurs fans can't be too upset that he took as long as he did to recover. Regardless, the team is excited to have him back, and Duncan should be back soon as well. Leonard's injury has more to do with a contusion to the knee than the gash, but he should not miss much time.
