LeBron James Misses Practice, Expected To Play Against Bulls

Miami Heat and arguably the best NBA player in the world LeBron James missed Thursday's practice with a knee contusion. ESPN reports that he received extensive treatment and hopes to play against the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
James then told reporters he had taken it easy during practice because he was being treated for a knee bruise. Asked if he would play Friday, James said, "I hope so."
LeBron has been as dominant as he's always been and is having a season even better than his last, which resulted in an NBA Championship, NBA Finals MVP award, and Sportsman of the Year. He's already won two Eastern Conference Player of the Month awards: November and December. ESPN pointed out that he has played for at least 40 minutes in eight of the team's last fifteen games. He's played in four seasons where he averaged above 40 minutes a game. Despite that, LeBron is not as young as he was then and is coming off an Olympic appearance shortly after his postseason title run. This kind of wear could have played a part in the knee contusion but Erik Spoelstra insists it is not.

LeBron's buddy and teammate Dwyane Wade comments on LeBron's status.
"We know that he's been playing constantly for a while, and he doesn't miss many games," Wade said. "But you still have to be prepared just in case (he can't) go, because he does take a beating every night, and he might need (a rest). I tell him some practice days, 'Hey man, why don't you sit down?' But he doesn't want to. When it comes to games, I can't tell him that. He's not built that way. For him to miss a game, he'd really, really have to be hurt."
That honestly that big of a surprise. LeBron is as physically gifted as they come and everyone should expect him to play in tomorrow's game.
