When you're the only one on the court who can do anything about the team losing, you tend to play more often than the rest of the team. Such is the case for Kobe Bryant. It seems nothing the Los Angeles Lakers throw out on the court works - except Bryant. So he plays and he plays, and now he is dealing with tired legs half-way into the season.
According to an Associated Press report, Bryant has complained of "heavy legs." Bryant would love to get some rest for those legs, but it does not seem like a likely possibility with the team tipping towards a losing season for the first time in years. They need Bryant and his tired legs.
"I've just got to rest my legs," he said. "My legs are a little tired. My shots are just short. That's on me. I'll take this loss on me, gladly. There were a lot of easy shots, a lot of them, that I should have put down."Bryant shot 10 for 32 from the floor last night. It was a rough performance, and one that may have contributed to the Lakers' 108-103 loss to the Toronto Raptors, but he still finished with 26 points and five assists. It just seems that the Lakers do not have enough offensively or defensively to back Bryant up. He has to be perfect every night.
Bryant is averaging 29.6 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.9 rebounds per game this season. He is leading the NBA in scoring this year. In his career, Bryant has averaged 25.5 points, 4.7 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game.
