The Atlanta Hawks could use a boost, but they did not get it from Anthony Morrow last night. The Hawks lost to the Boston Celtics 89-81 as Morrow missed his fifth straight game. The Hawks' guard has been battling a sore hip and will continue to be listed as day-to-day.
The Hawks have been banged up with injuries to Morrow, Devin Harris, and DeShawnn Stevenson. The team hopes to get Morrow back soon, but it will all depend on how his hip responds to practice. Atlanta plays Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Morrow will likely be a game-time decision for that match-up.
Morrow is averaging 5.5 points per game and 1.0 rebound per game. He averages 13.2 minutes per game, but he could be used more frequently right now with the injuries the Hawks are facing. Atlanta is 20-12 and pushing forward for a potential playoff spot. If injuries do not derail them, they are on pace to grab one of the top-five spots.
