While the Washington Wizards got a big win over the Miami Heat last night, the team is still in shambles. They have no hope for a postseason berth this year, but they would love to see their star point guard back on the floor. John Wall is still dealing with a stress reaction in his knee and is not close to returning.
According to an AP report, John Wall is still not practicing. He is unable to practice says his coach Randy Wittman. Wall has not played at all this season, and a timeline for his return is unknown. All he can do now is sit on the bench and watch the Wizards' miserable season unfold.
Washington is now 2-13 on the season. They are bad, and everyone can see that. Even with Wall back, the team will still be bad, but at least the fans would have something exciting to watch. Unfortunately, no one knows when that return can happen. Returning too soon from a stress reaction can lead to further, more severe injury.
Wall is in his third year in the NBA. He has averaged 16.3 points per game and 8.2 assists per game so far in his career. Wall came into the NBA after just one season in Kentucky. However, that one season was a phenomenal one. He averaged 16.6 points and 6.5 assists in college.
