In a match-up where all the focus will surely be on Dwight Howard facing his former team, the Orlando Magic travel to Los Angeles to battle the Lakers tonight. In the game, both teams will have injury concerns and some definite players who can't play (i.e. Hedo Turkoglu, Steve Nash, etc). However, one additional name that could be added to tonight's list of players unable to play is Jameer Nelson.
In his game preview, Josh Robinson of the Orlando Sentinel says Nelson is questionable with tendinitis in his left achilles. Nelson missed the Magic's game against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night. He first started experiencing problems with the achilles before the Nets game.
Nelson will be a game-time decision tonight. The Magic will need everyone they can get to go against the Lakers. Even with Los Angeles' injury problems, they are still a good team. The Magic can't afford to be as close to full health as possible.
Nelson has averaged 13.0 points per game this season and 5.6 assists per game. In his carer, spanning nine NBA seasons, Nelson has averaged 12.4 points per game and 5.0 assists per game.
