Knicks Injury News: Carmelo Anthony, Raymond Felton Out

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and guard Raymond Felton were both sidelined for last night’s contest against the Phoenix Suns due to injury, reports Brett Pollakoff of Pro Basketball Talk.

Anthony will be out for Wednesday night’s contest in Phoenix against the Suns due to a sore left knee, one that became that way after teammate Marcus Camby rolled into it on Tuesday.

Anthony scored 34 points against the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day, but admitted that his knee was “a little sore” following the game. He said he would be “fine” for the Suns’ game, but the Knicks decided to keep him out.

Felton also injured himself during Tuesday’s game against the Lakers, spraining the pinky on his shooting hand. Felton on the injury:

“Right now it hurts like hell. Knowing me, I won’t sit out the game for any reason, (But) if it bothers me the way it did in the fourth quarter where I couldn’t shoot the ball like I wanted to – or pass the ball – I am not going to play on it.”
