New Orleans Hornets guard Eric Gordon returned to practice
for the first time since training camp yesterday and has said that he’d like to
be playing in games again before the New Year, reports Fran Blinebury of
NBA.com.
“I felt pretty good,” Gordon said after Monday’s practice. “I was just ready to get out there with the guys. It was full contact and I participated in everything. Now it’s just the conditioning part.”
Gordon has yet to appear in a game for the Hornets this
season due to a right knee injury. He will not play tomorrow against the
Orlando Magic, but New Orleans has two other games remaining before New Year’s
Day; at home Friday against the Toronto Raptors and at Charlotte on Saturday
against the Bobcats.
Gordon only appeared in nine games for the Hornets last
season. The former 7th-overall pick averaged 22.3 points per game
for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2010-11 season.
